Meet the Architect
While completing his psychology degree at Texas Christian University, Marc pondered his inevitable emergence into the real world. While considering his strongest traits and skills - organizational thought and daydreaming - he realized that most of the doodles in the margins of his class notes were of buildings and floor plans. For the first time in his life, he took an un-choreographed leap of faith and enrolled in architecture school at The University of Texas, graduating with a Master of Architecture degree in 1984.
Early in his career, Marc realized that the built environment is actually a tool for those who live within it. Drawing upon his psychology training, he looked for ways design could solve problems and advance the agenda of people and corporations. For the next 30+ years, Marc learned to listen to his clients, interpret their wish lists, and translate those requirements into efficient, unique designs.
Looking at every project as a puzzle to be solved, he gets his inspiration by observing the world around him - the way people move, imagining the flow of movement through space, and daydreaming.
